Hildewintera is a genus from the cactus family that occurs in the Andes Mountains. They can grow there as an epiphyte, along rock walls. The stems are covered with thorns or thick hair. The Monkey Tail cactus is a real eye-catcher within this genus. The flowers are orange or red and appear in spring.
